Grupdo is a team productivity and collaboration platform developed by SVB Tech Labs. This Data Policy specifically covers how data is handled within the Grupdo platform, in addition to the global SVB Tech Labs Privacy Policy.
2. Data We Process
To provide collaboration features, Grupdo processes the following data:
- User Profiles: Name, avatar, role, and contact information.
- Messages: Text content from channels, direct messages, and group chats.
- Files: Documents, images, and other media shared within workspaces.
- Tasks: Task descriptions, assignments, due dates, and status updates.
- Workspace Metadata: Channel names, team memberships, and permission settings.
3. Content Ownership
Users and organizations retain full ownership of the content they upload or create within Grupdo. We act as a data processor for your content, while your organization acts as the data controller.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Message History: Messages are retained for the duration of your workspace's existence unless deleted by a workspace administrator.
- File Storage: Shared files are kept within our secure cloud storage (Supabase/GCP) until the workspace is deleted or specific files are removed.
- Workspace Deletion: Upon workspace deletion, all associated messages, files, and metadata are permanently purged from our active systems within 30 days.
5. Collaboration Security
Grupdo implements channel-level and workspace-level permissions to ensure data is only accessible to authorized team members. All communication within the app is encrypted using TLS during transmission and AES-256 for data at rest.
6. Third-Party Integrations
If you choose to use Grupdo's integrations (e.g., GitHub, Notion, Jira), data may be exchanged with those services. Your use of such integrations is governed by the respective terms and privacy policies of those third-party providers.
7. Privacy for Teams
Individual users should be aware that their workspace administrators may have the ability to export or view message history within the workspace, depending on the organization's settings and applicable laws.
